As the seasons shift, so do we. The rhythms of nature begin to change, and our bodies feel it long before our minds understand it. It is at this time, when we may notice that  our body is quietly asking for something different, to pause, soften, and return to you.

Ayurveda teaches that these transitions are sacred thresholds, moments when the body naturally wants to release what it has been holding and restore balance.

Whole is a ritual devoted to that threshold.

For seven days, you are invited to step out of the momentum of everyday life and into a practice of self-devotion. To shift the mindset that might insight on discipline or restriction and see this work as reverence.

Through simple nourishing meals, embodied Ayurvedic practices, and guided reflection, this week becomes an offering to your holy self. It is a way of tending the body, the nervous system, and the quiet inner spaces that are so often overlooked.

When we give ourselves time like this to slow,  listen, and clear what has accumulated  we begin to feel the shift. Clarity returns. Energy moves.

The body remembers its own wisdom.

Seven days is a gift of rhythm, presence and coming home to yourself again.

Why Seasonal Cleansing Matters

In Ayurveda, the changing of the seasons is considered a powerful transition.

Our bodies are not separate from nature. The same shifts that happen in the natural world. The warming of the air, the lengthening of daylight, the movement of moisture and wind  also happen within us. When the seasons change, the body naturally wants to release what it has accumulated.

However, our modern lives rarely allows us to follow these rhythms.

Instead of slowing down and supporting the body through these seasonal shifts, we tend to push forward, continuing to consume, produce, and move at the same pace, even when our systems are quietly asking for something different. The Christmas season is the perfect example of this. We rush around and fill our lives with obligations instead of focusing on simplicity and rest, what our body really needs.  So with seasonal cleansing where we work with the body instead of against it.

In Ayurvedic tradition, cleansing is often practiced during these moments of seasonal change, when the body is already beginning the process of clearing what it no longer needs. A gentle cleanse helps support:

• digestion and metabolic balance
• the body’s natural detoxification pathways
• emotional and energetic processing
• nervous system regulation
• clarity, vitality, and overall resilience

Just as importantly, it creates a pause, allowing us to simplify what we are taking in, not only food, but information, stimulation, and expectation. When we do this, something powerful begins to happen.

The digestive fire, known as Agni, becomes steadier and stronger. The body can finally metabolize what it has been holding. Energy begins to move again.

This is why seasonal cleansing has been practiced for thousands of years in Ayurvedic tradition. The truest version of it is called Panchakarma, and would be overseen by an Ayurvedic doctor.

Cleansing is a  ritual of returning to balance.

Whole is an invitation to step into that rhythm, to honour and listen to  the natural intelligence of your body while supporting it through a week of nourishment, simplicity, and self-devotion.

The Method

Whole is a gentle Ayurvedic cleanse designed for real life.

For seven days, you will simplify what you consume,  not only your food, but also the pace, stimulation, and inputs of daily life so your body can recalibrate.

This cleanse centres around kitchari, a traditional Ayurvedic dish made from rice, mung beans, vegetables, and seasonal digestive spices. Mung beans are particularly valued in Ayurveda for their cleansing properties. They help the body move ama (the residue of undigested food, emotions, and stress) out of the system.

Traditionally, an Ayurvedic cleanse would involve eating kitchari for most meals. In Whole, we take a more compassionate approach that respects modern life, work schedules, families, and nervous systems. You’ll be encouraged to keep kitchari as your primary midday meal, while lighter breakfasts, soups, and supportive snacks are offered to help you stay steady and nourished throughout the week.

We must also be mindful, that this is about more than food.

It is about everything you take in.

Your conversations.
Your media consumption.
Your pace of life.
Your sleep.
Your relationship with pleasure and rest.

During the week of Whole, you’ll be invited to simplify your schedule, reduce unnecessary screen time, eat slowly and intentionally, and make space for practices that nourish the body and spirit.

What to Expect

You may notice shifts throughout the week as your body begins to release what it has been holding.

For many people, Day 3 can feel challenging, as the body moves into deeper detoxification. Fatigue, irritability, or mild discomfort are common signs that the system is beginning to clear. This is normal, and part of the process. Rest, warmth, and self-care practices are essential support during this phase.

The magick here, is that everything is optional, and your intuitive knowing is your guide.

If at any point you need to adjust the protocol, that’s okay.

Whole is not about perfection or pushing through.

You may decide to:

  • eat kitchari only once per day

  • take a day’s break from the cleanse

  • focus more deeply on the self-care practices

  • reach out for additional support

Listening to your body is not only part of the ritual, it is the purpose of this work.

At the end of the week, we’ll move into a gentle post-cleanse protocol, gradually reintroducing nourishing whole foods while maintaining many of the practices that helped you feel steady and clear during the week.

The goal of Whole is restoration and self-devotion.

A week of simplicity, nourishment and intentional care that allows your body to clear what has accumulated, and remember what it feels like to feel vibrant, grounded, and deeply at home in yourself again.

The Seven Days of Ritual Self Devotion

Each day of this ritual  carries a theme,  a place for your intention to land, with practices to support you in your journey.

Day 1 - Nourish

We begin together with a live call introducing the foundations of Ayurveda and the cleanse protocol. We will talk about food and cooking as ritual, and  how nourishment becomes medicine when prepared and received with presence. This is where intention is set and the week truly begins.

Day 2 - Soothe

You’ll learn Abhyanga, the traditional Ayurvedic self-oil massage. This practice supports lymphatic flow, (or Rasa), encourages self regulation and oxytocin release.  It invites you  into relationship with your body through loving touch.

Day 3 - Release

Through a guided Apana Vayu meditation, we gently support downward and outward energy, which is  the body’s natural capacity to let go. We experience this energy, often daily, through elimination, menstruation, child birth and even orgasm. Not only does it support the movement of physical release, it also offers emotional and energetic release.

Day 4 - Connect

Our mid-point live call offers space to share reflections, ask questions, and feel held in community. This is a moment to notice what has shifted and what may be asking for deeper attention. Use this time to share your struggles, your triumphs and connect.

Day 5 - Devotion

Breast massage as ritual. A practice of self-honouring and reconnection to the heart space. Devotion here is about presence and attention to the energetic guardians of the heart. It has many benefits, including hormone health and increasing orgasmic capacity.

Day 6 - Transformation

We explore Agni (your digestive fire) in a pre-recorded video. Learn  how true transformation happens when we metabolize what we take in. This teaching weaves together physical and emotional digestion, helping you understand how clarity and radiance are cultivated from within.

Day 7 - Radiance

We close together live, integrating what has moved and outlining a gentle post-cleanse protocol so you can transition back into daily life with steadiness.  Share and celebrate what has  emerged when your body feels clear and supported.

Who This is For

Who This is Not For

Whole is for you if you are craving a reset in rhythm through intentional care, held by ancient teachings and away from toxic diet and wellness culture. This experience may feel deeply supportive if you:

• Feel like life has been moving too fast and you want space to slow down and reconnect with yourself
• Are curious about Ayurveda and seasonal cleansing but want a gentle, supportive introduction
• Want to support your digestion, energy, and nervous system without extreme detox methods
• Feel like your body has been holding onto stress, heaviness, or stagnation
• Are open to exploring ritual, self-touch, nourishment, and embodiment practices
• Want a container that encourages self-devotion rather than self-discipline

You do not need to know anything about Ayurveda.

You only need a willingness to listen to your body and move through the week with curiosity.

Whole may not be supportive for you right now if:

• You are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or actively trying to conceive
• You are looking for a rapid weight-loss program or strict detox
• You are unable to slow your schedule at least a little during the week
• You are in a place where reducing stimulation and simplifying your routine feels impossible

This cleanse is not about pushing through discomfort or getting it right.

If your body or life circumstances need something different right now, honouring that is part of the work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to eat only kitchari for the whole week?

No. While kitchari is the central meal of the cleanse, this protocol is designed for real life. You’ll be encouraged to have kitchari as your main midday meal, while lighter breakfasts, soups, and supportive snacks are offered to keep you nourished and steady.

What if I start the cleanse and it feels too difficult?

That’s okay. Ayurveda is about listening to the body. You may adjust the protocol, eating kitchari once per day, taking a break, or focusing more on the self-care practices. The intention is support, not perfection.

Will I feel detox symptoms?

Possibly. Many people experience a dip in energy or mild discomfort around day three as the body begins to release what it has been holding. Rest, warmth, and gentle self-care practices usually help the body move through this phase.

Do I need to attend the live calls?

No, although the opening call is recommended, as you will learn about some Ayurveda foundations and we will discuss the cleanse protocol. Ultimately, the calls are there to support you, but everything is optional. Recordings will be available if you cannot attend live.

Can I still have coffee?

Yes.  One cup per day is recommended as the upper limit during the cleanse. Adding cardamom can help balance some of coffee’s heating and stimulating effects.
